Mahaska Team Wins Super Bowl Display Contest

This year Pepsi and Frito Lay sponsored a National Super Bowl Display Contest among all of the military base commissaries in the United States. There were two categories on the line:

  1)  Best Pepsi Display                                                     2) Best Pepsi/ Frito Lay Combined Display

We are proud to say that the Mahaska route team at the Fort Riley Commissary in Junction City, KS won in both categories! Out of all the entries, Pepsi awarded 25 teams in the Pepsi Display category, and 10 teams in the Pepsi/ Frito Lay combined category. The team that serves the Fort Riley Commissary was one of only 4 entries that won in both categories!

Mahaska’s winning Fort Riley Superbowl display was built using over 1,300 cases of soda, and took approximately  4 hours to complete, with the help of 4 people. We’d like to thank the hard working and creative Mahaska employees Alan Michaud, JR Manning, Justin Toll, and Sebastian Baeza, who contributed to the build and made this win possible!
