Julie Montgomery, Mahaska’s Human Resource Manager, is born and raised in Iowa. Prior to Mahaska, she worked in Human Resources at at Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. She is an extremely loyal and dedicated mother, wife, and employee. Julie spends most of her free time with her family, who are the most important people in her life. Working closely with employees and managers in all 3 states.

Mt. Dew – Without a doubt!
Favorite snack that Mahaska distributes?
Peanut M&M’s.
What do you do outside of Mahaska for fun?
My kids are very active in sports and I love watching and cheering them on. I also enjoy watching my husband and daughter drag race on the weekends.
What’s something no one would guess about you?
I would say “stubborn”. But if you know me, you probably know that already! I also have absolutely no sense of balance after getting Lyme disease 3 years ago.
How would you think your friends describe you in one sentence?
Very loyal and dedicated.
What are you most passionate about?
My family’s health and happiness.
Are you involved in the local community? If so, how?
I am on the Blue Zone committee and a local SHRM member.
What have you seen Mahaska do that benefits the local community?
Mahaska is involved in many community events. The lighted Christmas parade, Blue Zone, Dew it for your school, and the Chamber of Commerce. Mahaska leadership believes strongly in community involvement and it shows.
How would you describe “Midwest Values?”
Focus is on family, friends, and beliefs. And traditions are a big part of most Midwest families.
